  • [GUIDE] How to get your FPS back.

I have found a way to get back the normal fps. It has worked for me.

Windows 7 or higher users might have experienced the problem of svchost.exe making abnormal use of CPU causing you your fps to drop. This happens most often after you have installed updates.
If you are facing the problem PLEASE follow as instructed:

    1) Initially, you need to bring TASK MANAGER. There are different ways to bring it. One of them is by Right-Clicking the windows bar and then left clicking on Task Manager.

    2) Now that you have Task Manager in front of you, Click on “More Details”

    3) Once you are done doing it you will encounter this window.

    4) Now you need to “Right Click” on gta_sa (32 bit). You will then see whatever is shown in the picture. After that, you need to “Left Click on “Go to Detail”. You will then be viewed the details of processes.

    5) Now that details of programs are in front of you, look for “gta_sa.exe”. Once you've found it, Right Click on it. Next, place cursor on “Set Priority”, and adjacent dialog will pop up. You will find that Your GTA San Andreas is set on normal priority.

    6) Next, click on “High” in the "Set Priority" dialog.

    7) A tab will come up asking you that “Do you want to change the priority of gta_sa.exe? Just click on “Change Priority”. And you are done.

This will allow your GTA San Andreas to use you more CPU than other programs.
