I'm gonna swap out my seagate laptop drive with a Western Digital, but who has the Black version of Western Digital Scorpio ? I wanna a opinion, because i know the Black Drive is faster + its a 7200rpm drive. But i know it's speed &160mb/s advertised, but is that true ? I think it is, because i have a Seagate Barracuda which is a 7200 rpm drive, and it's compareable to a black drive. It does get 207mb/s on seagate 7200.12/14 drive.
Reason i'm gonna buy a new hard drive is, because the old one is done as it's producing nasty sounds randomly. As google shows results of others having the same issues. Also very often it disappears from the Intel ISRT Program as there is no hard drive installed at all. The system hangs for a while.
Note: I have already a SSD. I just want a fast internal hard drive tho.
Also this seagate produces to much load/unload cycles, About 7500 ~ 8000 in 4~5 days.
