O please why did you buy this ? You can't never ever take out the drive and connect it to a SATA port in your pc, because this Elements ( Portable Only ! ) has a Built-in usb 3.0 Connector and no SATA connector to USB 3.0. I preffer to get a Empty case with a 2.5 inch drive and build your own one.

My Elements 2TB has just a 2TB WD Green with a SATA to USB 3.0 PCB and it's a Desktop Version. As i feel that the desktop onces are much faster. And it just gives me 7~8ms seek time and 157mb/s Transfer speed. Even my WD Scorpio black is slower
