New Server IP 37.187.154.36:8800
Hi,
As you know we have been the victim of some ongoing attacks here at GamerX.
To deal with this situation we have decided to move our server to another host: OVH in France. Your ping should remain much the same as it is now.
The benefits of moving to OVH are many:
* Much better CPU (Intel Xeon E5-1620v2, 4 Core, 8 Thread, 3.7 GHz, 3.9 GHz Burst)
* Higher network speed (1 Gigabit Connection with unlimited traffic)
* Hardware Firewall (we can block the DoS attacks)
* Anti DDoS Pro level protection (http://www.ovh.com/us/anti-ddos/)
We realise our player count will suffer for a short period of time as our IP will change... this is unavoidable. However, the player count was already suffering due to the constant downtime from the attacks.
As you read this post the forum, website and SAMP server have already been transferred to the new server. IP 37.187.154.36:8800
The OLD server has been locked and the new IP is displayed in the server name shown in the SAMP browser. If people have added us to their favourite list they will be able to see the NEW IP address.
So, in summary, the new server IP address is 37.187.154.36:8800
