How can I see the logs that happened when I wasn't connected on IRC? Is there a way to word search in IRC?

Either use a BNC or keep your IRC client up for 24/7.

No, as far as I know. As you wouldn't be able to receive messages if you're not connected to the server, obviously. If you want to find a log at a certain time you can ask someone that was connected at that time.Comment

I am in the process (kind of) of making a php irc bot, and i plan to keep all logs and allow people to view the logs online. This is more of a concept at the moment so I don't know if it will become a reality as I'm rather lazy. If I do finish this php bot, then that would be a way of viewing logs without having to be online all the time.
