About:
SA-MP is a free Massively Multiplayer Online game mod for the PC version of Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

How to download:

Installation:
Before continue be sure to have San Andreas v1.00 without any kind of mod. Download Samp from above link. After downloading run it and Accept the license and in the next window specify the San Andreas that usually is:

C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\

Once you inserted the correct path, you can click Install and finish your installation.
The client:
Run samp.exe from San Andreas folder. Now you should something like that:



1- Connect to the selected server.
2- Add a new server to favorite list.
3- Remove a selected server from favorite list.
4- Refresh the selected server.
5- Master Server Update, this is used to update the server list on Internet and Hosted tab.
6- Copy to clipboard the informations of the selected server.
7- View server informations.
8- Settings.
9- Help (this button will force you to goto samp wiki website).
10- Shows SA-MP team.
11- Set your nickname.



Favorites: shows favorites servers.
Internet: shows all servers.
Hosted: Hosted server list of sa-mp which are provided exclusively on game-mp.

SAMP Keys:
The keys you will be able to use in almost all servers are the following:

T and F6: allows you to chat.
TAB: shows the player list, ids and score.
G: go into a vehicle as passenger.
H: allows you to shot as passenger with manual aim.
F1: shows the commands here explained.
F4: allows you to choose the team/skin after next death.
F5: shows bandwidth statistics
F7: show/hide and change the style of the chat.
F8: save a PNG screenshot into San Andreas folder.
F9: Toggle the death window.

Commands:
These commands you will be able to use in almost all server are the following:-

Commands you can type on chat (after you hit T):

/q: shut down/quit SA-MP and go back to desktop.
/pagesize: set the chat area size
/dl: show informations about vehicles (useful at Derby event)
/fpslimit: limit your FPS.
/timestamp: to get time before every log.

although there are some points that needs correction,

Run SA-MP.exe

samp.exe *

2- Add a new server (only on Favorites tab).
3- Remove the selected server (only on Favorites tab).

/kill: commit a suicide.
/pm ID MSG: send a private message to a specified player (Other players cant see this message).

Those are server commands, not client command, not usable in every server, where the rest is client commands and can be used on any sa-mp server.

/dl: show informations about vehicles (useful at Derby event)

DL stands for debug label, it shows debug information of vehicles and its data such as health, model, id, etc. It's not "useful" for only Derby event but it's mainly helpful for SA:MP scripter and server developer.
